finally

finally presented.
oh god i was so nervous.
thanks min for the pushes.

our management class

our management class

we created a blog
to share our thoughts,
posting all entries
by 12 o'clock.

our first exam
the grades didn't make sense,
luckily our professor
gave us a chance.

Our second exam,
people were so lame;
they left the classroom
after writing down their names.

I am no good test taker,
but I've tried so hard for the grade.
If professor you like my poem,
please give me an A.

Communicating via Blog

Honestly, this is my first blog ever. I knew what a blog was but never created one before until the beginning of this semester. I think this blog assignment is truly helpful toward the learning subjects taught in class. Many people often don’t tend to speak in class even thought they might have ideas and comments in their minds, and they could easily type it up in their blog as much as they want. I often do the blog entries on time not only this is a 20% of my grade, but I also feel like this is a great communication channel where I can share my ideas and beliefs to other students. For example, the blog entry of vision: I had shared my opinions and thoughts with other students and I got many positive feedbacks from others. However, I don’t feel like the requirement of responding to five of the people’s blog entries. If you take a closer look at everybody’s comments, you will find out that most of them are just very simple and their entries are just to satisfy the requirement. But overall, the blog assignment is great and I enjoy being a study of Prof Kurpis. I think he has very creative ideas toward teaching, absolutely different from other Baruch professors.

d high c

I am surprised. This DISC test is amazingly well described my management orientation. I am gauged as a D high C, which describes me as "emphasis is on shaping the environment by overcoming opposition to accomplish results" and at the same time "working conscientiously within existing circumstances to ensure quality and accuracy. I truly find myself as a person who likes to solve problems and accept challenges. It sounds like I could become a great leader because I fall into the dominance category. The test shows I am very low in steadiness, which I think it is very accurate because I generally do not want to work with others. But, I do want to influence others by persuade people with my arguments.
I really think this DISC test is very helpful to us, not only because it describes how exactly everybody's strong areas in management are, it also gives detail action plan and suggestions on how to be even more effective. I am so glad to take this management test; and it will help me to improve my management skill in the future.
